FUTURE PLANS

FULL IPAWSCAP COMPLIANCE

Owning ENDECs is essential to running an IP Radio Station, but with technology advancing rapidly, so do Emergency Alert System protocols. While I am happily monitoring WJON-IP, which has CAP compliance already, having a newer ENDEC that includes IPAWSCAP Capabilities will help KTRMedia become more efficient. Specifically, the ThunderBuddy01 Media Network is potentially investing in a SAGE DIGITAL ENDEC Model 3644, which will potentially be used in replacement of the SAGE EAS ENDEC Model 1822. This of course will be a huge investment but is one of the top priorities.

MUSIC PROGRAMMING

As of right now, KTRMedia is running on a "no music, EAS only" program, which is good for starters, but when it comes down to it, music, or some kind of live programming, is what makes any hobbyist radio station perform more like an actual radio station. Narrowing down genres and programming will be really tough to do, especially when considering there's major holidays and how The Network Operator doesn't listen to music all that much. This, however, can be either a low cost or high cost investment but it all depends on the route The Network is willing to take.
